Strugglers

Leroy Sane- Looked rusty since he returned from an injury lay-off. He scored a good goal against Dinamo Zagreb but still needs a few games to get into rhythm.

Leon Goretzka- The German midfielder is certainly not in Kompany’s plans. He hardly got any game time during September and looks likely to leave Bayern in January. Goretzka scored a good goal against Dinamo Zagreb, but that goal will hardly move him up in the pecking order at Bayern.

Sacha Boey- The French right-back played one game in September before suffering a serious injury in training.

João Palhinha- The Portuguese midfielder started only one game for Bayern after the international break. He didn’t even come on against Bayer Leverkusen and Dinamo Zagreb. Palhinha has to remain patient to get a run of games for Bayern.

Eric Dier- Played only 21 minutes in September as Kompany hardly rotated the center-back pairing.

Mathys Tel- The form of other forwards has meant Tel has not got adequate game time this season. He managed to make only two appearances (game time of 73 minutes) during September.

Konrad Laimer- The Austrian is struggling to get starts in midfield. He did well in the right-back position against Werder Bremen. Laimer will hope his game time improves as the season progresses after a disappointing September. (All Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
