Bayern Munich have plenty to focus on between now and the end of the season. Of course, there is the managerial situation but there is also the exciting Champions League quest to embark on. In the buildup between now and the end of the season, these two facets will play a role in how the summer transfer window ends up looking for the Die Roten.

Bayern Munich revive interest in Barcelona sensation

According to a new report by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are set to revive their interest in Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong, after failing to sign him in the past and retaining an interest in the talented Dutch midfielder. The report states that while De Jong is under contract for the Catalan side until 2026, Bayern are monitoring his situation.

It is also important to address that this deal could be difficult for Bayern Munich to pull off. After all, De Jong's hefty salary is proving to be a big sticking point. Still, the club are clearly admirers of De Jong, given their interest in the past which has remained, even throughout his days at Barcelona, so it will be an interesting transfer saga to watch.

Bayern Munich could be without Joshua Kimmich next season, as the legendary Bayern full-back who has converted to fill the midfield role is wanted by many European clubs, including but not limited to Arsenal. Rumour has it, Kimmich has already agreed to sign for Arsenal, which occured between the two Champions League ties.
