Bayern Munich are not expecting major outgoings in the winter transfer window. Manchester United have been linked with a move for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, but Bayern are yet to receive an offer for him. The Bavarian club is not expecting movement over the future of any other senior player during January.

Things may change drastically at Bayern in the summer. The record Bundesliga champions are open to making tough decisions to refresh the squad with hungry players. It doesn’t mean that the current group of players is not hungry for success, but Rekordmeister wants to shuffle the pack, which can help them in the long run.

Joshua Kimmich is one of the big players who may end up leaving Bayern in the summer. The idea of him leaving Munich is reportedly no longer a taboo topic at the club. Kimmich has less than 18 months left on his contract, so the next few months are decisive regarding his future.

Since it is the last big contract of his career, Kimmich will reportedly look for an agent to negotiate the deal. Kimmich himself negotiated the last contract extension with Bayern. The German midfielder is also attracting strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Kimmich is not excluding a departure from Munich in the summer. Paris Saint-Germain will look to sign him in the summer, but concrete talks between all parties are yet to take place. There has been interest in Kimmich from several other big clubs in Europe.

Earlier in January, L’Equipe (via GFFN) reported that PSG tried to negotiate a move for Kimmich during the club’s discussions with Bayern for Nordi Mukiele. The Bavarian club wants to sign Mukiele this month to strengthen the right-back position. Die Roten have no plans to part ways with Kimmich this month as he remains a key player for Thomas Tuchel.

Kimmich has been a consistent performer for Bayern in the last eight years. He has done a tremendous job for Die Roten in different positions. The German midfielder is also part of the leadership group. However, the murmurs in German media do suggest that Kimmich could part ways with Die Roten for a new adventure. Bayern are also not completely ruling out his departure, which does suggest that they want to move in a different direction.

For the time being, Kimmich will be focused on achieving the targets for this season with Bayern. Tuchel will need him in top form if Bayern want to retain the Bundesliga title and bring the Champions League back to Allianz Arena.
