Bayern Munich player ratings from Champions League heartbreak vs Real Madrid
Leroy Sané (5/10)
Sané's decision making was poor and he failed to get on the same wavelength as his teammates. The Germany international got into some good positions before losing possession of the ball more often than not.
Jamal Musiala (6/10)
Musiala found it difficult to get involved in the first-half, but looked more lively after the break. He helped create a number of decent openings and began the move that led to Bayern's goal.
Serge Gnabry (N/R)
Gnabry was forced to come off in the first-half with yet another injury.
Harry Kane (7/10)
Kane had to drop deep to get on the ball, and it worked to great effect for Bayern's goal. His incredible vision was on full display, but Bayern certainly missed Kane the striker as he found chances hard to come by.
Alphonso Davies (7/10)
Davies roared back to form and answered his critics with a brilliantly taken goal in the second-half. Playing as a winger, the Canadian international was able to enjoy more freedom and looked a lot more comfortable.
