Despite putting in a dominant performance, Bayern Munich had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich created the better chances and will be disappointed not to have won the first leg. But the second-half comeback will give Thomas Tuchel and his side plenty of belief going into next week's second leg in Madrid.

The Bavarians enjoyed an excellent start to the game, but were unable to turn dominance into a goal. Real Madrid made them pay mid-way through the first-half, with Vinícius Jr. finding the back of the net after being played through by Toni Kroos.

Bayern responded well after the break, and quick-fire goals from Leroy Sané and Harry Kane helped them turn the game on its head. But Vinícius pulled Real Madrid back on level terms after Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo inside the box.

All in all, it was a thrilling contest at the Allianz Arena, and the stage is set for a mouthwatering second leg. Here we have the Bayern Munich player ratings from their 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.

Manuel Neuer (6/10)

Neuer did not do much wrong and wasn't at fault for either of Real Madrid's goals. He made a couple of vital saves for his side, but it was a relatively quiet evening for him.
