Harry Kane

Halfway through the season, if the Ballon d’Or votes were to be cast it would be no surprise if Harry Kane was the unanimous winner. With 21 goals in only 15 league appearances, the England Captain is on course to break Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals in one single Bundesliga campaign.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has been more than just a goalscorer having provided five assists in the Bundesliga. He has been outstanding in link-up play by coming short to bring others into the attack or by releasing the wingers for clear goal-scoring opportunities. In all competitions, Kane has scored 25 goals and provided eight assists.

When the going has gotten rough Kane has shown the willingness to take up defensive responsibilities. There is no questioning his work ethic.

England’s all-time record goalscorer leads not only the Bundesliga goal-scoring charts but also the European Golden Shoe standings.

Conservatively he gets a 9.5/10.
