Bayern Munich fans should take note of Toni Kroos comments about future plans
By Kian Long
Bayern Munich has produced some incredible talent in the past. Some of the best players in history have come through the youth ranks at Bayern Munich, including Thomas Muller and Franz Beckenbauer.
However, one player who may tug at the heartstrings of the Bavarian faithful is Toni Kroos. The world-class midfielder came through the ranks in the 00s and made a name for himself in the first-team, before he eventually left to sign for Real Madrid in 2014.
Having played with Los Blancos for 10 years now, he's had an incredible career, winning five Champions League trophies, three Bundesliga and La Liga titles. Of course, he also won the World Cup in 2014.
But just how fondly does Toni Kroos remember his Bayern Munich days? Well, the answer is likely to be very well. After all, this is where he honed his craft and established himself as the world-class midfielder Europe knows him as today.

A return to Bayern Munich does not seem to be on the cards for the Germany international. According to 90min, Toni Kroos was questioned about returning to Bayern Munich when his Real Madrid contract expires at the end of this season. To which, he shut down the rumours.
When asked about returning to Bayern Munich, Toni Kroos said: "I expected a lot of questions about my future today, but not this one, I'm always very honoured when someone wants me on their team, regardless of whether that's even true. But in this case I can clearly say that's not going to happen."
Well, at least he's honest. Bayern Munich fans didn't have high hopes that Toni Kroos would return to his boyhood club at this stage of his career but at least he isn't feeding into the false narrative.
During his time in Munich, he achieved everything there is to achieve in the game. The Bayern faithful should take great comfort in these memories, rather than expecting him to come and save the day again.
Bayern Munich will be under pressure to sign some players in the summer transfer window. Having lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga recently, the chances of winning their 12th consecutive Bundesliga title are walking on a tightrope. Unless Xabi Alonso's side fall out-of-form towards the end of the season, Thomas Tuchel may have failed his first full season in charge.
There are talks of Jose Mourinho taking charge at the Allianz Arena if Thomas Tuchel is given the boot. While this is merely speculation at the moment, fans should be excited by the prospect of one of the greatest managers of all time coming into manage this historic club.
