Bayern Munich eyeing spectacular move for Manchester United captain

The Bavarians are being linked with Bruno Fernandes, who has had to endure increasing frustration at Manchester United in recent months.

Manchester United are set to finish outside the top six in the Premier League this season, and Fernandes may be set to leave the club this summer due to their failure to compete for top honors.

According to the Independent, Bayern Munich could look to take advantage and pursue a move for Fernandes this summer as they are keen to evolve the personality of their squad.

It remains to be seen just how much truth there is to this rumor, or how much Bayern Munich would have to pay to sign the Portuguese international this summer. But a move to Bayern would allow Fernandes to compete for titles, while giving Manchester United the chance to overhaul their roster. Clubs from Saudi Arabia are also said to be interested in signing the attacking midfielder.

Bruno Fernandes has been one of Manchester United's top performers since joining the club from Sporting Lisbon in 2020. The 29 year old has 79 goals and 64 assists in 230 appearances for the Premier League side. Fernandes still has two years left on his current contract with Manchester United.
