Bayern Munich's interest in signing Florian Wirtz is no secret. And the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker is said to be the club's top target for 2025. This is being reported by Sky Sport, who add that the Bavarians are primed to be in the race to sign Wirtz, who will stay with the newly crowned Bundesliga champions for at least one more season.

Wirtz has enjoyed an excellent campaign with Bayer Leverkusen, once again showcasing why he is one of the most talented players in German football. The 20 year old has 17 goals and 19 assists to his name this season in just 43 appearances across all competitions, playing a starring role in their incredible season. With his contract not expiring until the end of the 2026/27 season, his signature would likely cost more than 100 million euros.

The likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Florian Wirtz, and we could be all set for a massive bidding war for his signature in 2025. Wirtz is also set to play a starring role for Germany at this summer's European Championship, which could lead to more clubs showing an interest in signing him.

Wirtz has formed an impressive partnership with Bayern's Jamal Musiala in the Germany lineup, and the prospect of the country's two top youngsters linking up at the club level as well is certainly an exciting one. Bayern Munich have long held an interest in Wirtz, and they will look to do all they can to make signing him a reality. But a tough race awaits for his signature in 2025.
