Player of the Season

It is difficult to look past Harry Kane for Bayern’s Player of the Season award. The English forward seamlessly adapted to the Bundesliga after Bayern broke their transfer record to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

Kane ended the season with 36 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances. He was the top scorer in the division by a considerable distance. The English forward also provided eight assists in the league. Kane also shone for Bayern in the Champions League, contributing with eight goals and four assists in 12 appearances.

The 30-year-old striker perfectly filled the void left by Robert Lewandowski in 2021. Kane held his end of the bargain by scoring 44 goals, but Bayern couldn’t help him in winning the first trophy of his career. The England international will win a lot of personal plaudits for his debut season with Bayern, but he will be eager to win silverware next season. (Stats courtesy- Whoscored)
