Jamal Musiala: 8.5/10

Difference maker once again for Bayern, Musiala got the ball back himself and launched a stunning strike from way outside the box to score Bayern's only goal of the game. He was also crucial in the offensive press as he kept nabbing the ball from the St. Pauli players.

Leon Goretzka: 6/10

Not the most convincing performance from the German in his first start of the season. Didn't make any big error but was sloppy with quite a few passes.

Joshua Kimmich: 7.5/10

Covered every blade of grass on the field and gave an all-round midfield performance — tackles, recoveries, passes, long balls, you name it. Ultimately he couldn’t carve open St. Pauli’s organized low block, but tried his best.
