FC Bayern took all three points from their trip to Hamburg thanks to Jamal Musiala’s long-range goal in the first-half. It was an uncharacteristic offensive performance from Kompany’s team who created a total xG of only 0.83. St. Pauli's low defensive block was organized to a T, and it took a wonder goal from Bayern to get the better of it.

While their attackers failed to fire on all cylinders, Bayern’s defensive department was spotless once again as they limited the home team to just 3 shots, all of which were off target. With this win, Bayern remain at the top of the Bundesliga table with 26 points in 10 games. Let’s take a look at the player ratings for Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich player ratings from 1-0 win over St. Pauli

Harry Kane: 6.5/10

St Pauli's defenders did a terrific job of denying the Bayern talisman of any service. Kane himself didn’t offer many off-the-ball movements and was often just an onlooker. He did play a sublime through ball to Musiala near the game’s end which should've been converted.

Kingsley Coman: 6.5/10

Coman did well on the ball and neatly combined with Davies on the left-hand side. However, he couldn't make any decisive actions in the match.

Leroy Sané: 6/10

Despite a few positive sparks, it was a largely frustrating performance from the winger. He found himself in some good positions but failed to make the most of it.
