Much of the transfer talk at Bayern Munich this summer surrounded Michael Olise and what his future holds. There were strong links of a move away, before Bayern completely shut them down, insisting Olise isn't for sale no matter the price. Olise stayed at the club and has gotten off to a red-hot start to the new season, only upping the talk of another club coming in to steal him away.

With rumors picking back up, Bayern are eager to sign the attacker to a new contract to thwart off other clubs; however, it looks like talks with Olise won't be easy, with his latest request leading some to question his long-term commitment to Bayern.

As being reported by BILD, Bayern Munich are growing concerned with Olise's willingness to sign a new extension, with his request for a release clause to be included in a new contract worrying some within the club. The Frenchman is under contract at Bayern until 2029, but the club wants to tie him down to a new deal as a number of clubs continue to increase their interest in signing him, with Real Madrid leading the charge.

Olise's request raises some concerns at Bayern

Having a release clause in his new deal will obviously make it easier for a club like Real Madrid to come into the picture and sign Olise, with coming to terms on the figure for a release clause most likely impossible. The player would want a figure that would make leaving easier, whereas the club would want a figure that no other club could match, with finding a middle ground an incredibly tough task.

We've seen clubs in the past like Real Madrid and Barcelona put €1 billion release clauses in the contracts of their star players, which is no doubt what Bayern would look to do, whereas the player would want a lower fee, most likely somewhere around €200 million to make a potential transfer possible, and there's no way Bayern would agree to that.

The Frenchman has picked right back up where he left off last season, grabbing eight goals and four assists through Bayern's first seven games, as well as two goals and an assist for France this international break, making him even more desirable for clubs, which is a worst-case scenario for Bayern.

The report goes on to state that Bayern have made their stance clear that they will give Olise till the end of next summer to agree to a new extension, with some at the club believing he isn't committed to Bayern for the long term and has his heart set on somewhere else. Next summer is still a long way away, so things can change, but at the moment, it seems the two parties are at a stalemate.
