On Saturday afternoon, Bayern Munich were in Bundesliga action against Union Berlin, for matchday nine of the season. And backed by a brace from Harry Kane, they cruised to victory at the Allianz Arena.

For this one, Vincent Kompany went with an XI of; Neuer - Guerreiro, Upamecano, Kim, Davies - Kimmich, Palhinha - Olise, Musiala, Coman - Kane

There was just over ten minutes on the clock when Olise was brought down in the penalty area. From the spot, Kane did the rest, firing low to the goalkeeper's bottom right corner to give Bayern a 1-0 lead.

Two goals and an assist for Harry Kane in latest Bayern Munich win

After that, Bayern would have a few half-chances and sighters, without creating anything clear-cut. That was until the 43rd minute. Davies went on a lovely driving run down the outside, before fizzing a ball into Kane. The striker played a first-time ball to Coman, who opened his body up, before curling the ball into the far corner.

The first-time assist from Kane was nearly identical to his assist against Mainz in mid-week. This was the second time Coman had scored in three straight games in his Bundesliga career. Bayern would go into the break with a two-goal lead.

It would not take long in the second-half for Bayern to make it three. Kimmich's back post cross was headed across goal, with both Musiala and Kane making an attempt to stab the ball home - the goal was credited to Kane, and was confirmed as a goal in general after a VAR review.

With around 20 minutes to go, Kompany looked to give players some rest, making a triple substitution - as Goretzka, Dier, and Sané - replaced Kim, Palhinha, and Olise.

Almost immediately after coming on, Sané had the chance to add a third goal in a week, after a sublime pass from Kane found him in space, but he could not beat Frederik Rønnow in the Union Berlin net.

With 16 minutes remaining, Müller replaced Musiala as Kompany again looked to manage the workload of his top players. Then, with around 10 minutes left, a very popular sub was made - with Adam Aznou making his Bayern debut - replacing Davies. Fans have been crying out for some Aznou minutes recently.

With five minutes left, Kane had an opportunity for his hat-trick, but uncharacteristically dragged his shot wide from just inside the box. It did not matter at all though, as Bayern comfortably saw the game out with a 3-0 win.
