Rodrygo (Real Madrid) - Price: approx. €80 million
The top management has made the right decision to look for an elite left winger to tackle the inconsistency on the opposite side of Michael Olise. Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Leroy Sane all filled in that left-hand side in the past season. There were glimpses here and there, but the impact was never regular.
Since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo's presence at the Santiago Bernabeu has shaken heavily, as he is often recognized as the third option in the attack. Now with Xabi Alonso set to become Real Madrid's next head coach, Rodrygo may find himself being the tactical scapegoat as the former Bayer Leverkusen coach will look to carry on with the 3-5-2 formation in Madrid that brought him so much success. The Brazilian is more keen to stay but is also reportedly open to talks of a potential transfer.
Rodrygo is definitely the elite winger Bayern is searching for: explosive speed, clinical finishing, and the knack of stepping up in big moments. He is so good at making something out of nothing, which can solve Bayern's recent struggle against low blocks. His underwhelming form might be a concern for most Bayern fans, bagging only one goal and two assists in his last 20 appearances. But form is temporary, class is permanent. He has proven his capability against big teams on the biggest stages already. If the 24-year-old can replicate the performances in previous seasons, everything will work out just fine.
If Die Roten can seal this deal for less than nine figures, it will be a job well done by Max Eberl and Christoph Freund. It is not easy, though, as Arsenal, Chelsea, and other Premier League clubs are also eyeing this lucrative transfer.
