Bayern Munich are currently working on a new contract for Harry Kane. After a slow start to the season, Kane has looked back to his best for Bayern in the last three games. His goal drought had lasted only three games.
Kane was also on the scoresheet for England on Saturday as they suffered a 3-2 defeat against Spain in a UEFA Nations League group game. The English forward unfortunately slipped while taking a penalty that would have put England 3-1 up early in the second half. Nevertheless, Kane’s good goalscoring form is continuing in the international break.
The 33-year-old has entered the final year of his current deal at Bayern. Kane is optimistic about signing a new deal in October. Both parties are working together to reach a swift conclusion. Kane is content with life in Munich, and Die Roten are ready to reward their talisman with an improved contract.
Kane recently reached the milestone of 100 Bundesliga goals for Bayern in just over three seasons. There were several eyebrows raised in Germany when Bayern paid €100 million for Kane in 2023, but it has been a successful signing. While talking to AZ this week, board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that Kane is one of the top three signings the club has made in the last 20 years.

The England international has helped Bayern win two Bundesliga titles in the last three seasons. He has also won a DFB Pokal while scoring goals at an incredible rate. Kane became the quickest player to score 100 goals for a club in the top five European leagues in the 21st century, beating the likes of Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rummenigge backs Harry Kane to win the Ballon d’Or
Like other executives at Bayern, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has also backed Harry Kane to lift the Ballon d’Or for an exceptional last season. Kane is one of the favourites to win the prestigious trophy.
The English forward scored 73 goals for club and country last season. Kane scored 61 goals for Die Roten and 12 for England. He won the European Golden Boot and helped Die Roten win the domestic double. Kane also reached the Champions League and World Cup semi-finals with Bayern and England, respectively.
Die Roten chiefs have been publicly campaigning for Kane to win the Ballon d’Or for last season. The Bavarian club also has Luis Diaz, Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, and Dayot Upamecano nominated for this award.
