Bayern Munich celebrated Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or win in front of arch-rival Borussia Dortmund in headlining Bundesliga action, but the night fell short as both teams had to share points. Michael Olise quickly put Dortmund's defence on notice after rattling the goalpost minutes after kickoff. The away side replied immediately with a dangerous strike from Jobe Bellingham, forcing Jonas Urbig to make an excellent save.

The tug-of-war match script continued for the next half hour as both teams rued missed chances.

At the 30-minute mark, it all started to go downhill for Bayern, as Ismael Saibari came down with a serious ankle injury, reminiscent of Jamal Musiala's horror injury after being challenged by the goalkeeper. Not even a full minute later, Serge Gnabry also had to be substituted out with an injury. Two injuries before halftime, but that was nowhere near the bad luck Bayern faced against Dortmund.

Dortmund took advantage of the momentum swing. They aggressively pressed Bayern deep, and the mistake came when Upamecano gave the ball away inside the box, allowing Bellingham to put the ball in the back of the net. The goal was eventually disallowed due to Carney Chukwuemeka interfering with Urbig.

Failing to capitalise on Bayern's mistake, Dortmund was immediately hit by a sudden stab when Konrad Laimer followed up on his own shot to open the score, putting the home side ahead going into the 15-minute interval.

Bayern continued to control the tempo in the second half, with their efforts rewarded with a golden scoring opportunity when Harry Kane's pass hit Felix Nmecha's hand inside the box. However, on his special night, the reigning Ballon d'Or winner uncharacteristically failed to convert from the spot, leaving Bayern in a vulnerable position, still only 1-0 up.

Dortmund made Bayern pay for missing the penalty with a stunning finish from Serhou Guirassy in the 60th minute, leveling things at 1-1. The celebrations only lasted six minutes for the away side, as Harry Kane made up for his mistake, assisting Dayot Upamecano on a set piece, putting Bayern back in the driver's seat at 2-1.

Disaster struck for Bayern in the 84th minute when Michael Olise had to hobble off the pitch with an injury. A deprived Bayern couldn't survive Dortmund's attacking wave, as Fabio Silva scored the equaliser in the final minute of official time. Bayern Munich pushed the tempo in stoppage time, but it only resulted in Lennart Karl hitting the woodwork for the team's fourth time today.

A draw might not be the end of the world for interim coach Aaron Danks and the players. Trick or treat, but there was no treat for the fans today. The true Halloween scary story was three accumulated injuries after the match to three different attackers.

At first glance, Saibari might be out for an extended period after tweaking his ankle. Gnabry might face a muscle issue; the duration is unknown. Olise had to be subbed out forcefully for the first time since coming to Munich. An overworked Olise might have developed a calf or heel injury.

There is a high chance that all three will sit out of Bayern's midweek Champions League fixture against Atletico Madrid. The German champions now operates with one healthy attacking option besides Harry Kane. Is the squad depth enough now? Only time will tell for Bayern Munich.
