Bayern Under-19s suffered their second defeat of the youth competition on Saturday, losing 3-2 to SpVgg Unterhaching in the S-Bahn Derby. Leopold Schmid scored twice for Die Roten, while Cirak and two-goal Burghardt found the net for Unterhaching.
Bayern had reason to celebrate after just eight minutes. Leopold Schmid's well-placed effort was heading for the top corner, and Unterhaching goalkeeper Arving Berger couldn't get a glove to it, giving Bayern a 1-0 lead.
Just eleven minutes later, Cirak equalised. He capitalised on Bayern's failed attempt to play the ball out from the back and fired home to make it 1-1.

Unterhaching take the lead twice in the first half, but scarcely deserve it
The remainder of the first half was played at a modest level. Bayern U19 largely dominated, but failed to create any clear-cut chances. In the 34th minute, Unterhaching took the lead; after winning possession in midfield, they played Burghardt through on goal, and the striker kept his composure in front of goal to put Unterhaching ahead for the first time.
Before the half-time whistle, Bayern nearly equalised through Frank Egwuatu; his shot from a central position thundered against the post. Bayern had the better of almost every statistic in the first half, but Unterhaching went into the break ahead.

Bayern finish the match with ten men after Adam El Chaar's red card
Egwuatu was the first player to threaten in the second half, but he was unable to beat goalkeeper Berger. Bayern's efforts were eventually rewarded when Leopold Schmid converted a superbly taken free kick to complete his brace.
Just twelve minutes later, Matteo Maric almost made it 3-2 to Bayern. Once again, the woodwork came to SpVgg Unterhaching's rescue. A few minutes after that lucky escape for the home side, Unterhaching regained the lead through Burghardt in the 66th minute. He was left unmarked inside the penalty area and fired the ball into the net.

Once again, Bayern looked the more threatening side, even after Leonardo Haas's team were reduced to ten men when Adam El Chaar was shown a red card. In the final seconds of the game, Bayern were awarded a free kick in a very promising position. However, the final effort of the match failed to find the net.
