Bayern Munich face a big seven days as their chances of keeping the treble dream alive for the season hinge on the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Bavarian club will host PSG next Wednesday, with work to do as they trail 5-4 in the tie.
The Bundesliga champions will need maximum effort from every player in the squad to get the job done against the French club. Vincent Kompany received a positive update on the two young players’ fitness on Thursday.
Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl started training with the first team on Thursday, as both players have recovered from the minor injuries that have kept them out of action for the last couple of weeks. Bayern are unlikely to take a risk with them against Heidenheim on Saturday. At best, both players will get minutes from the bench against Heidenheim.

Bischof and Karl can provide Bayern an edge against PSG
The return of Karl will give Vincent Kompany one more option in the attack. The Belgian coach is short of options after Serge Gnabry’s season came to an end due to an adductor injury.
The young German forward has been in sensational form during his first full season with the senior team. Karl can be dangerous off the bench against the French club if Bayern are looking for a moment of magic. The youngster has scored nine goals and provided six assists for Bayern this season across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Tom Bischof provides an extra option in the midfield and defense. The former Hoffenheim midfielder can do a tactical job if Kompany has a special plan to stifle PSG forwards. Bischof recently scored two goals from outside the box against Freiburg, which helped Bayern come from 2-0 down to clinch a 3-2 victory.
Having a deeper bench will certainly help Kompany to make tactical switches if Die Roten are trailing in the game at Allianz Arena.
Bayern would ideally like to get back to winning ways against Heidenheim to regain momentum. However, Kompany’s priority will be to ensure they don’t suffer any crucial injuries in this game.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain will be without Achraf Hakimi for the second leg against Bayern due to a hamstring injury. The Moroccan full-back provided an assist in the first leg and caused Die Roten a lot of problems when he bombed forward on the right flank.
