Bayern Munich had one of the best and most explosive attacking units last season. The Bavarian club saw Luis Diaz, Harry Kane, and Michael Olise score goals for fun. Bayern scored a record 122 goals in the Bundesliga last season. It was an incredible feat considering the fact that their first-choice number ten, Jamal Musiala, missed more than half of the season due to an injury.
The Bundesliga champions want to add more depth in the attack this summer. They specifically wanted to sign a left side forward as there was no backup option for Luis Diaz. Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon was the top target, but he ended up joining FC Barcelona.
Bayern changed their strategy and went for a more central player in Ismael Saibari after missing out on Gordon. The Moroccan forward completed a move to Bayern from PSV Eindhoven at the start of July.
In order to strengthen the left flank, Bayern looked for an internal solution. They extended the contract of Arijon Ibrahimovic until 2028 after his decent loan spell at FC Heidenheim. While talking to the media this week (via AZ), Ibrahimovic expressed excitement about playing in the first team next season.

Ibrahimovic was expected to leave Bayern this summer. However, a conversation with Vincent Kompany gave the youngster clarity about his future at Bayern. The 20-year-old has been told that he will be the backup to Diaz.
It has been an up-and-down last couple of years for Ibrahimovic. He spent the 2024/25 campaign at Frosinone and Lazio. The young forward couldn’t get adequate game time at both Italian clubs. Ibrahimovic was sent out on loan to FC Heidenheim last summer, where he ended up playing in 32 games.
The 20-year-old is not a prolific goalscorer, but he provides creativity across all positions behind the striker. In an ideal scenario, Ibrahimovic will have a successful season if he ends up getting 1500-2000 minutes next season for the senior team at Bayern.

The Bundesliga champions are currently well covered in all attacking positions for next season. They will hope Jamal Musiala gets back to his best after a difficult last season due to injury. Saibari will also add more directness in the attack as he can play as a nine or ten.
Lennart Karl and Arijon Ibrahimovic will provide the youthfulness to the attack. Meanwhile, Olise, Kane, Serge Gnabry, and Diaz will provide the experience and goals.
