Bayern Munich received a setback this week in their squad planning for next season. Leroy Sane rejected the contract proposal for Bayern and completed a free transfer to Galatasaray. The German winger will be playing his last few games for Bayern at the Club World Cup until June 30.

Sane is not the only senior winger Bayern may lose this summer. Kingsley Coman is also expected to leave Munich this summer. In the French winger’s case, Bayern will be open to listening to offers in the transfer window.

Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in Coman over the last 18 months. However, the French winger also has suitors in the Premier League. According to Christian Falk (via iMiaSanMia), Newcastle United are also interested in signing Kingsley Coman.

The Premier League club has qualified for the Champions League, so Coman will have the opportunity to play on the biggest stage if he decides to join Newcastle United. The Tyneside club can also meet the transfer demands of Die Roten for the signing of the French winger.

Coman also features on the list of targets at FC Barcelona. The Spanish club will make a move for Coman only if they fail to land one of their top targets- Luiz Diaz and Marcus Rashford. Barcelona may struggle to pay a significant fee for the French winger.

Despite consistent injuries over the last decade, Coman has been a key player for Bayern. He has won every possible trophy at the club. It would be an ideal time for Coman to look for a new adventure, and Die Roten will also get a chance to boost their transfer funds.

Bayern may have to sign two wingers this summer

The Bundesliga champions are currently working on a star signing to strengthen the attack. After missing out on Florian Wirtz, Bayern are focusing on targets like Nico Williams, Bradley Barcola, and Rafael Leao for the statement attacking signing.

Along with signing one of the players from the above list of targets, Bayern may need another winger or forward to add more depth to the squad. It will be interesting to see how they manage the transfer funds to strengthen the attack since they were ready to spend in excess of €100 million for Wirtz.

Apart from adding two forwards, Bayern may have to sign another center-back later in the window if Kim Min-jae ends up leaving Bavaria. The South Korean defender is facing an uncertain future in Munich.
