Bayern Munich are looking to revamp their attack for the next season. They have parted ways with Thomas Muller, and the futures of Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane are looking uncertain. Die Roten hope to add a winger to the squad after missing out on Florian Wirtz.
The Bundesliga champions are also open to listening to offers for Bryan Zaragoza. The Spanish winger had a productive loan spell at Osasuna last summer. He played consistently and chipped in with eight goals and assists across all competitions.
Zaragoza was also part of the Spanish squad during the international breaks in the season. Die Roten are not considering him to be part of their plans for next season. According to Bild (via iMiaSanMia), Bayern are not planning to include Zaragoza in the squad for the Club World Cup. The Bavarian club is hoping to sort out his future early in the summer.
Bayern should look to recoup the majority of the €15 million they paid to Granada 18 months ago. Bild has reported that Die Roten could ask for a fee worth €18 million after his good loan spell at Osasuna. The 23-year-old winger has been tight-lipped about his future in Munich throughout the season.
Zaragoza subject to interest from La Liga and Serie A
The Spanish international will not be short of options in the summer. According to Bild, Real Betis and Villarreal are interested in signing Zaragoza. The 23-year-old is also attracting interest from Serie A. It does look like Osasuna will not be able to meet Die Roten’s demands to sign the winger permanently.
Zaragoza never got a proper opportunity to showcase his talent in Bavaria. He arrived in January 2023. Thomas Tuchel was reluctant to give him game time as the German coach believed Zaragoza needed time to adjust to the new club, language, and Bundesliga. The 23-year-old forward took a dig at Tuchel for not giving him game time after scoring a crucial goal for Spain earlier this season.
Bayern signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace last summer, which further damaged Zaragoza’s chances of getting game time in the first team. The Bavarian club opened the door for a loan move to make sure the Spaniard got his confidence back.
The loan move has worked well for Zaragoza, but Bayern are not considering him part of their long-term plans. Die Roten will be relieved that they will not take a big hit on Zaragoza since he played well for Osasuna.
