Who Needs to Step Up For Bayern to Win?

In the attack, it seems like Bayern has just been handed a reprieve with the news that Harry Kane was back in training and should be fit to play in this game. Without him, they have been struggling to hold possession in the final third and haven't seemed to be as lethal.

For the most part, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, and Leroy Sane were able to step up and score some important goals for Bayern while Kane was out. The boys from Munich didn't seem to miss him too much against Heidenheim or Shakhtar Donetsk, but anybody who watched this team against Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, and FSV Mainz could see that Die Roten were missing a vital piece in their attack.

Now that Kane is back, however, it will be much harder for Leipzig to contain the onslaught of attempts that should surely flow from the frontmen of Bayern, and most of it will go directly through the English striker. With his ability to open passing lanes and make runs to free up space for two of the best dribblers in the entire Bundesliga, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala, Bayern should be able to break through the wall put up by Willi Orban and Nicolas Siewald.

On the defensive side of things, Dayot Upamecano should be back in the starting lineup alongside Min-Jae Kim, ensuring that FC Bayern should have two of the fastest and strongest center-backs in Germany working together to stop the speed of Lois Openda and the strength of Benjamin Sesko from denting the scoreline. Konrad Laimer has been putting in some great shifts and should be the starter in the right-back spot, while Alphonso Davies is getting closer to full fitness and should feature at left-back.

Either way, the defense will look to shut down the wide crosses to the head of Leipzig's target men, giving them no other option but to try and play directly through them. Blocking the wide area will more than likely cause some frustrations for visitors.
