2023/24: €187.5 million spent - Bayern's best transfer window?

Harry Kane (Tottenham) - €95 million: 9/10

Bayern finally decided to cash in on a proper Lewandowski replacement by signing Harry Kane. The €95 million price tag may make people feel Bayern overpaid for a 30-year-old striker, especially one who is dubbed the anti-talisman. But what the England record scorer has offered to Bayern was simply out of this world. Kane won the Bundesliga top scorer two years in a row while being one of the best passers and playmakers in the team.

Kim Min-Jae (Napoli) - €50 million: 6/10

Bayern made another big-money transfer for a defender. This time for Serie A's best defender, who helped Napoli lift the Scudetto. However, Min-Jae's last two years were full of ups and downs. He couldn't show the traits of a powerful yet smart center-back that made him a household name in Italy, but rather a lot of positioning mistakes. Admittedly, the South Korean had to play through a serious Achilles injury this season. But all in all, his performance has not been worth the price tag. The South Korean defender is facing an uncertain future in Munich this summer.

Sacha Boey (Galatasaray) - €30 million: 4/10

Boey is the definition of a panic buy in the winter market. Bayern was in need of a right-back, which led the board to submit a large sum of money for the Frenchman. The 24-year-old was outright underwhelming in his one-and-a-half-year stint at Bayern. Talking about throwing money out of the window. He has struggled to get game time due to consistent injuries.

Daniel Peretz (Maccabi Tel Aviv) - €5 million: 4/10

Peretz was brought in as an understudy and a backup for Manuel Neuer. He also occasionally featured in some games for Bayern in the last season when Neuer went down with an injury. However, Peretz does not look anything special to be Bayern's future cornerstone.

Bryan Zaragoza (Granada) - €13 million + €4 million loan fee: 3/10

Bayern triggered the €4 million loan fee to secure Zaragoza half a season earlier. Why pay the loan fee if you are not playing him? This has to be categorized as one of, if not the worst, transfers in the past few years. Bryan Zaragoza never played any meaningful minutes for Bayern before getting loaned to Osasuna this season. The Spaniard is also the top candidate to be sold this summer.

Eric Dier (Tottenham) - free transfer + €3.5 million loan fee: 7/10

Eric Dier came to Bayern without any expectations. But somehow he managed to win every fan's heart with his performance and dedication. He closed out both seasons as the starting center-back and did it in an outstanding fashion. Not only defending well, Dier also stepped up in crucial moments with important goals such as the one against Inter at the San Siro and the one against RB Leipzig to name a few.

Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) - free transfer: 8/10

The ultimate utility man for Bayern. Konrad Laimer arrived as a center midfielder but now has emerged to be Bayern's starting right-back thanks to his tireless work rate. Laimer is always the one running the hardest up and down the field. He has also been playing amazingly despite being out of position.

Raphael Guerreiro (Dortmund) - free transfer: 7/10

Another great addition for Bayern in the 2023/24 transfer window. Similar to Laimer, Guerreiro is also extremely versatile. He is even being played less as a left-back, his preferred position, and more as either a center midfielder, an attacking midfielder, or a winger in Vincent Kompany's system. The Portuguese have scored some beautiful and absolutely key goals for Bayern in the past campaign.
