Dayot Upamecano

Despite being unable to stop PSG substitute Joao Neves from halving the lead in the 74th minute, Dayot Upamecano was fully dialled in to get the job done for Bayern

For most of the game, the 27-year-old French defender was a tower of strength at the back. Upamecano won both of his tackles, two of his four contested ground duels, and also both of his contested aerial duels. He also completed four recoveries and six clearances.

Before the dismissal of Diaz, Upamecano was also influential in the attack. Such was the case in the 4th minute when his interception in the midfield resulted in the change of possession which led to the opening goal just seconds later.
