Konrad Laimer

In Paris, Konrad Laimer once again showed the footballing world that he is a man for all seasons. The 28-year-old Austrian covered every blade of grass up and down the right flank as a full-back.

Unfortunately, with Bayern tasked with defending for most of the second half, Laimer wasn’t allowed to flourish with underlapping and overlapping runs. Despite a conservative performance from Die Roten in the second half, he covered 11.2km over the course of the match, with 7.9km being on the run.

Despite not winning a huge number of his tackles and duels he won the ones that mattered most. Laimer completed six recoveries and made three timely interceptions, including one just before the final whistle near the six-yard box.
