Luis Diaz
In the 32nd minute, Luiz Diaz scored on his Bundesliga debut for Bayern with what was arguably the best goal of the game. After drifting in centrally, following some excellent build-up play, the 28-year-old Colombian drove into the box and hammered the ball into the net off the underside of the bar.
Diaz was a threat throughout the match. He mixed up his game well by stretching the defense on the left wing as well as being a threat centrally. Lucho was successful with four of his six attempted dribbles and also provided the assists for two of Kane’s goals.
Out of possession, Diaz was his usual combative self as he won six of ten contested ground duels and completed four recoveries.
With Bayern’s attack having given such a sparkling display, an honorable mention must go out to Serge Gnabry. During his 69 minutes on the pitch in the number 10 position, he showcased excellent link-up play. Gnabry provided the assists for Bayern’s second and third goals. In the first half, he also came close to scoring when his deflected shot from the edge of the box struck the crossbar.
