Harry Kane
Harry Kane exemplified economic efficiency as a striker against Hamburg. In his 64-minute stay on the pitch, from 35 touches, he scored a brace and provided an assist despite the opposition’s deep defending and being closely marked.
Kane scored with each of his two attempts on goal. His second goal was a true counter-attacking masterpiece. The 32-year-old striker started the move from just outside his own penalty area. Following an interchange of passes with Diaz, he then carried the ball into the Hamburg box and passed to Olise on the right, who returned the ball to him. Kane showed excellent control and easily beat his marker before slotting the ball in the bottom-left corner. The England Captain once again proved that in the counterattack, quickness of thought can be just as important as fleetness of foot.
