Michael Olise
Michael Olise provided the assist for Harry Kane to score Bayern’s go-ahead goal, and later on, he capped off the scoring himself with the fourth goal. Kane’s finish was absolutely brilliant, but it was courtesy of the perfectly weighted threaded pass from Olise.
The fourth goal was the result of a devastating counterattack counter attack which Olise started by winning the ball in his own half before unleashing Pavlovic down the right wing. The 21-year-old midfielder then picked out Diaz on the far post, who in turn teed up the onrushing Olise to finish off the move with a tap-in from the penalty spot. This goal was largely down to the industriousness and intelligence of Olise. With the game in the bag, the 23-year-old French winger was replaced by 17-year-old Lennart Karl with just under a quarter of an hour left.
Honorable mention goes out to Konrad Laimer, who returned to the right-back position for this game and once again linked up superbly with Michael Olise. Despite a glaring miss, Luis Diaz also deserves a shout-out for passing to Olise for the fourth goal when he could have chosen to shoot instead.
