Michael Olise
In the first half, Michael Olise played as if he was the victim of some unseen body-snatcher. He was the least effective attacking player from either side before the half-time interval. His performance in the opening 45 minutes was in stark contrast to what the Bavarian faithful had grown accustomed to over the course of the season.
It was Olise’s costly slip and turnover in the 11th minute that paved the way for Benjamin Sesko to embarrass Jonas Urbig when he scored Leipzig’s opener. That was one of several turnovers from Olise in the first half.
Whilst the overall performance from the 23-year-old French winger was below what was expected, he did have two major impactful contributions in the second half. Just after the hour mark, his inswinging corner from the right was superbly met and headed home by Eric Dier to halve the deficit. One minute later, Olise took matters into his own hands when he levelled the scores at 2-2 with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box. For those two moments of inspiration, Olise just makes this list ahead of Eric Dier and Konrad Laimer.
