Harry Kane
Overall, Harry Kane didn’t have one of his better games. One goal from eight shots paints the picture. However, when one considers that he had only 36 touches over the course of the game, then managing eight attempts is quite impressive.
Kane’s low conversion rate on the evening was typical of the entire team’s performance against Mainz. The reason why the 32-year-old striker makes this list, despite the poor conversion rate, is because he earned and converted the penalty in the dying stages of the game to preserve his team’s unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga. He also got the hockey assist for the first goal.
Honorable mention goes out to Joshua Kimmich, who dictated proceedings in the middle of the park with a game-high 156 passes. However, with the attack struggling, he needed to score a goal himself to be the difference maker.
