Joshua Kimmich
Joshua Kimmich was by far Bayern’s most consistent player against Stuttgart. Kimmich, along with Goretzka in midfield, did well to match Stuttgart's physical approach and at times even outplayed them.
Kimmich orchestrated proceedings in midfield for Bayern in a game played at a high tempo in addition to a high level of physicality. The 30-year-old midfielder created four chances and completed 94% of his passes (65/69). Eight of those passes were into the final third.
On the defensive side of the game Kimmich completed six recoveries and won three of four contested ground duels. Additionally, he won his sole tackle and also completed an interception. Overall, it was a polished performance from the German Captain in a highly competitive game.
