Harry Kane

Against Monchengladbach, Harry Kane looked hungry for goals from the start. The Gladbach defense was well aware of the threat on goal from Kane and seldom afforded him much space or time on the ball. However, Kane displayed the poacher’s instinct in the 31st minute when he redirected Olise’s shot with a clever header to open the scoring.

During his 89-minute stay on the pitch, apart from scoring a goal, Kane also had 12 touches in the opposition’s box despite being closely marked. The England Captain amassed 42 touches on the evening and was a perfect 2/2 with long balls.

Kane’s work off the ball was also significant. On the defensive side, he made four clearances, two of which were headed, and completed four recoveries.

Honorable mention goes out to Manuel Neuer on his return to action. The Bayern Captain gave a terrific performance while making seven saves en route to a clean sheet.
