Josip Stanisic

The final player on this list is Mr. Dependable- Josip Stanisic. The Croatian defender delivered another good performance for Bayern in the left-back position.

Stanisic excelled defensively, winning 70% of his ground duels and 100% of his aerial duels. He also made seven recoveries in the game. The Croatian made two vital interceptions, helping Bayern to look solid from open play for the majority of the game.

The 25-year-old defender also did a commendable job at the other end of the pitch. He had four touches in the box and played six passes into the final third. Stanisic was fairly comfortable on the ball, completing 77% of the passes he attempted against Dortmund.

The most telling contribution from Stanisic was winning the penalty in the 69th minute, which eventually helped Bayern to go ahead. He showed great awareness of space by cutting inside and attracting the foul from Schlotterbeck.

Bayern can be relaxed about the injury of Alphonso Davies since Stanisic has been doing a fine job in the left-back position.
