Joshua Kimmich
This list just wouldn’t be complete without Joshua Kimmich. The 29-year-old midfielder gave another masterful performance in the middle of the park and also in the right-back position for the last 20 minutes of the match after Konrad Laimer was replaced by Aleksandar Pavlovic.
In the 36th minute, Kimmich put Bayern up 3-1 with a terrific swerving shot from long range. Throughout the game, he was excellent with his ball distribution as he found his target with 93% of his passes (83/89), including a perfect 4/4 on long balls. He also provided the cross for Davies to score Bayern’s fifth goal. On the defensive side, he was just as impressive by making 10 recoveries. Similar to Davies, a contract extension needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later with Kimmich.
