Konrad Laimer
It’s not often that a player who plays only the first half of a game makes this list. However, on this occasion, an exception can be made for Konrad Laimer. During the opening 45 minutes, the 27-year-old Austrian was a menace for Heidenheim on the right flank.
As the starting right-back, Laimer had 47 touches. The Austrian won five of nine ground duels, two of three aerial duels, and completed four recoveries.
In the attack, he was even more impressive. Laimer had four touches in the opposition’s box, including a superb finish for Bayern’s second goal following a run after being picked out with a through ball from Serge Gnabry. The Austrian international also completed six passes into the final third. His productivity at both ends of the pitch was unmatched during his 45 minutes of action.
Honourable mention goes to Harry Kane for scoring the opening goal with a superb long range-strike. Jonas Urbig also deserves a tip of the hat for registering his first clean with the Bavarian giants.
