Michael Olise

Michael Olise looked razor-sharp against Heidenheim with and without the ball during his stay on the pitch. Playing on the right wing as part of a fluid four-man attack, he was given the freedom to come inside. The 22-year-old French attacker troubled the visitors with his movement, passing and dribbling.

Olise was superb in his distribution. He completed 93% of his passes (57/63), including the assist for Musiala's first goal. He also completed five of his six dribble attempts. It wasn’t only in attack that Olise shined as he won seven of the eight ground duels that he contested.

Had he been able to score from his one attempt on goal, from inside the box, early in the second half, after being picked out by Joshua Kimmich, he may well have been Bayern’s man-of-the-match. Apart from fluffing the big chance in the second half, there was nothing to fret over in terms of his overall performance against Heidenheim.
