Serge Gnabry

In the absence of the suspended Luis Diaz, Serge Gnabry started on the left wing and arguably delivered a man-of-the-match performance. In the 65th minute, he snuck in at the back post to tap in a corner for the equalizer. Twelve minutes later, the 30-year-old attacker turned provider when he cushioned a header back across the six-yard box for Jonathan Tah to stroke home the third goal.

Similar to Karl, it was a splendid all-round performance from Gnabry. With the result settled, he was substituted after 88 minutes of action. With his current contract at the club set to expire in June, it’s performances like the one he produced on Tuesday that have prompted the Bayern bosses to consider offering the German veteran a new two-year contract beyond June.
