Alphonso Davies
Although it wasn’t a flawless performance from Alphonso Davies, the Canadian still showed once again just how important he is to Bayern in Vincent Kompany’s system. With Mathys Tel at times struggling on the left flank, Davies provided good support in the final third in addition to ably performing his defensive duties as the left-back.
Davies may have only won 50% of his ground duels, but he was never beaten to the bye-line and had the better of the encounters against Dortmund’s wide player on the right- Maximilian Beier. The German forward was limited to just 24 touches in 90 minutes. Davies made five recoveries and was a reliable outlet when Bayern played out from the back. He had 71 touches in the game and also found a teammate with 95% of his passes (42/44).
