Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies back in form
Bayern Munich only made two substitutions yesterday, which is fair considering the tight-game situation. Both players coming on did extremely well.
Alphonso Davies brought the defensive stability and the offensive threats from the underlap and overlap with Luis Diaz. As a left-footed fullback, he brought a tremendous crossing threat from the left compared to Konrad Laimer in the first half. One of those crosses almost became a goal for Harry Kane.
Davies was also able to match up well with Kylian Mbappe for his speed, limiting the Frenchman's impact.
However, Jamal Musiala's performance yesterday definitely stood out. His dribbles seemed much more comfortable and fluid. He was the one who drew Camavinga's first yellow card with his dangerous penetration through Madrid's midfield.
Bambi also assisted Luis Diaz with a backheel flick that opened up space for the Colombian.
