Jonas Urbig is the perfect heir to Manuel Neuer

The majority of young goalkeepers would crumble when being tossed into a cup final unexpectedly. But not Jonas Urbig. This young man was born ready. He was ready for action. He was ready to face the pressure. And he was ready for all the smokes (especially those from the pyros).

At 22 years old, Urbig made three very crucial saves against Stuttgart in the final, including one against Maximillian Mittelstadt when the ball flew with speed from distance.

Not only did he display good shot-stopping ability, but he also did a good job in distribution. Facing Stuttgart's intensive pressing system, Urbig became an important distributor in the buildup. He was generally calm under pressure, accurate with his short passes and decisive with his clearances.

Urbig filled up Manuel Neuer's shoes so well that Bayern fans could barely feel the gigantic hole left behind by the Goatkeeper.
