Davies continues to push for bumper contract with his on-field performances

Alphonso Davies once again looked every bit the part of a world-class attacking left full-back. With Die Roten being so dominant and often pinning Hoffenheim in their half, the 24-year-old Canadian wasn’t asked to do much defending, but his exceptional recovery pace was on display whenever necessary.

Davies also supplemented Bayern’s attack at every opportunity through both the outside and inside left channels. It was his cross to pick out Harry Kane which led to the penalty. With every top-notch performance from Davies for Die Roten, bitter-sweet emotions arise as contract negotiations remain up in the air.
