Error-prone Manuel Neuer
Manuel Neuer's first game back after injury did not really go according to plan. He racked up two amazing, show-stopping saves in the first half. There was also nothing he could do to save Manzambi's shot early in the second. But the second goal from Freiburg was arguably Neuer's fault entirely.
His decision to come out on the corner was rash, and he did not manage to clear the ball properly. Unfortunately, that has been the common theme for our "Goatkeeper" lately: some outrageous saves but then making the most amateurish mistake and costing Bayern a goal or even the game.
Flashback to two years ago, when Neuer played incredibly against Real Madrid, just to make a silly error at the end, resulting in Bayern being knocked out of the Champions League. Those mistakes are not allowed to happen on Tuesday.
