Tom Bischof was the best midfielder on the pitch
Bischof started at left-back as Vincent Kompany preferred the experienced duo of Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich. When Goretzka was hooked at halftime, Bischof was pushed up to play in a pivot with Kimmich, and he did not disappoint.
The young midfielder dictated the tempo so well and always made the right pass, except for the lazy one late in the game that almost cost Bayern a win. Bischof was amazing in tight spaces and looked like a real threat from distance. He rattled the bar in the first half from 25 yards out with his left foot.
The 20 year-old was also very active defensively, making nine recoveries and eight defensive contributions. He is looking like a serious player for Bayern who can rotate perfectly with Aleksandar Pavlovic next season.
