Injury gods chose to spare Bayern Munich

With the 3-0 victory over Leverkusen, Vincent Kompany’s heavily rotated squad made sure that Bayern Munich would be travelling to France in high spirits to play against PSG on Tuesday.

Be that as it may, after scoring the three goals with Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz on the bench, one can’t help but feel it was an unnecessary risk of injury to introduce the trio during the second half ahead of the trip to Paris.

In the end it worked out fine. Kompany gave the star trio the chance to seemingly stretch their legs against toothless Der Werkself without regret. All things considered; it was a welcome relief to have not been paid a visit from the injury gods on Saturday.
