Tom Bischof deserves more minutes

Hindsight is always 20/20. However, considering the positive impact Tom Bischof had on the game, in just over 10 minutes of action off the bench, apart from his cross to set up Harry Kane for Bayern’s second goal, he quiet likely would have done better than Goretzka had he been given the nod in the starting XI.

Before last Saturday’s match against Berlin, Bischof had previously started against Werder Bremen in the number six position and, more recently, against Leverkusen at left back. On both occasions, the 20-year-old performed well and Bayern won 4-0 and 3-0, respectively.

Vincent Kompany would do well to give Bischof some more chances in the starting XI, not just because the squad isn’t as deep as he would have preferred.
