A total of 15 Bayern Munich players left Sabner Strasse for the final international break of 25. The November international break featured concluding fixtures of the World Cup qualifiers, U21 European qualifiers, and friendlies.
Overall, Bayern players delivered outstanding performances to help their respective nations achieve major success. But the biggest rounds of applause must go to the U21 Germany duo Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl.
Bischof, with the captain's armband, was the best player on the pitch in both games. Notably, the midfielder scored a hat-trick of long-range bangers en route to U21 Germany's 6-0 demolition of U21 Malta. The 20-year-old also provided an assist in that match to none other than his younger Bayern teammate, Lennart Karl.
Lennart Karl started both fixtures in his debut call-up to the U21. He did not disappoint head coach Antonio Di Salvo by scoring three goals, including two stunners against U21 Malta and an easy positioning tap-in against U21 Georgia.
Senior players seal World Cup qualification
Bayern players in the senior German team also excelled with two wins against Luxembourg and Slovakia for automatic qualification to North America next year.
Despite a minor injury that forced Joshua Kimmich to be sidelined in the first game, he came back in the fate-deciding tie and proved why he is the best player for Die Mannschaft, with an assist.
Serge Gnabry also got a goal against Slovakia off a Leon Goretzka pass. Two Bayern teammates found each other for a brilliant sequence. Aleksandar Pavlovic and Jonathan Tah played well, controlling the midfield and preventing the opposition from finding the back of the net, respectively.
Josip Stanisic clocked in two phenomenal shifts for Croatia. The defender bagged an assist against the Faroe Islands before coming in as a substitute against Montenegro, and helped Croatia turn things around for a comeback victory.
Harry Kane cannot stop scoring at the moment. He scored a brace against Albania. Nicolas Jackson also scored a brace in Senegal's easy beatdown of Kenya. Meanwhile, Luis Diaz grabbed one for Colombia against Australia.
Michael Olise also showed up big time for France against Ukraine with a goal and five key passes. Olise dominated on the frontline while Upamecano held down the backline perfectly and kept a clean sheet. The French duo both received a full rest in the second game.
Konrad Laimer, on the other hand, played all 180 minutes to secure Austria's ticket to the footballing grandest stage. The right-back was unlucky not to get himself a goal after his effort was ruled out by VAR against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Kim Min-jae and South Korea have already qualified for the World Cup. The 29-year-old centre-back still competed in every minute against Ghana and Bolivia, keeping two clean sheets.
The players have now returned to the club to prepare for the weekend's matchup and next week's Champions League clash against Arsenal. Hopefully, an encouraging international break filled with positive results for every player can be an additional boost of dopamine for the tough winter to come.
