Bayern Munich take home all three points with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Freiburg. The first half was a smooth sailing for Die Roten as they had taken a well-deserved lead through a Harry Kane goal and kept Freiburg attackers quiet. Kim Min-jae extended the lead for the Rekordmeister in the second half but it didn't take long for Freiburg to come back in the game as Matthias Ginter headed in a goal through a corner kick in the 68th minute. The rest of the game was a test of Bayern's defensive resilience as they had to work their socks off to prevent a comeback from a motivated Freiburg side. The game ended with a 2-1 win for the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich not only remain on top of the Bundesliga table with this crucial victory but they have also extended their lead to 6 points as Leverkusen drew their game against RB Leipzig. Let’s go through the player ratings for the victorious away team.

Goalkeeper

Manuel Neuer - 6.5/10

Another quiet game for Bayern’s skipper as he wasn't tested at all by the home team aside from the goal.

Defense

Raphaël Guerreiro - 6/10

Average performance from the Portuguese international. Didn't look the sharpest defensively and wasn't much impactful going forward as well.

Kim Min-jae - 7.5/10

Scored the crucial second goal for Bayern. Was solid defensively throughout the game but could’ve have done a better job at marking Ginter for Freiburg’s goal.

Eric Dier- 8/10

Played with a lot more attacking intent than usual. Found Kane with a nice pass which lead to Bayern's first goal.

Joshua Kimmich - 9/10

Joshua Kimmich started at right-back but went to his usual midfield position after Gotetzka’s injury. Was at the right place every time to make crucial interceptions and tackles. Assisted Kim’s goal through a perfect near-post corner.
