Midfield

Leon Goretzka  - 6.5/10

Goretzka didn’t look up to the task against Shakhtar as his passing and positioning were far from ideal. Made an important headed block to divert an on-target close-range shot from Shakhtar.

Joshua Kimmich  - 7.5/10

Joshua Kimmich dictated the game for Bayern, however, wasn’t very impactful in the attacking phases. He covered for Goretzka's shortcomings and held the midfield together largely on his own.

Jamal Musiala  - 9/10

Musiala was once again the heartbeat of Bayern's attack. Selflessly assisted Muller’s goal and went on to score Bayern’s fourth of the night. Had another one chalked off for a debatable foul by Mathys Tel leading up the goal.
