Goalkeeper and Substitutes

Manuel Neuer: 7.5/10

Was a spectator for most of the game. Played some nice passes to break Benfica’s first line of pressure but that was about all the action from the captain.

Leroy Sané: 8/10

As Kompany remarked in a post-match interview, Sané’s substitution changed the game. His attacks were much more explosive and motivated in comparison to what Gnabry and Olise had offered. The German's sweetly struck cross to Kane resulted in Bayern’s crucial goal.

Kingsley Coman: 7/10

Came on for Gnabry and looked lively down the left flank.

Thomas Müller: N/A

Müller hardly had time to make an impact as he replaced Musiala in the dying minutes of the game.
